The Wavy Nozzle is a high-precision coolant nozzle designed to deliver cutting fluids accurately to cutting tools and workpieces in machine tools. It is optimized for equipment requiring high precision—such as machining centers and automatic lathes—by enhancing cutting-edge cooling and improving chip and dust evacuation.
Featuring a proprietary flow path design based on fluid dynamics analysis, it minimizes coolant dispersion and directs a highly straight stream precisely to the targeted point. By maximizing the effectiveness of cutting fluids, this nozzle suppresses temperature spikes at the cutting edge, extending tool life, improving surface finish quality, and reducing cycle times.

What is a Wavy Nozzle
The Wavy Nozzle gives you the ability to distribute coolant oil or air from the nozzle system in a fixed or reciprocating motion for productivity improvement of the cutting process.
Wavy Nozzle Benefits
- The benefit of removing chips
- Decreases damage to the product
- Increases processing precision
- Prevents breakage of cutting tools
- Decreases machine down time
- Promotes continuous automatic operation of the machine
- Coolant oil is consistently directed to each tool correctly.
- Chips will not accumulate on the processing table.
Case Studies
- Eliminate cleaning process and use of coolant with Wavy Nozzle installation!
- With the introduction of Wavy Nozzle, they lowered defect rates and achieved their goals!
- Innovation in the method for cleaning chips from the cutting machine enables a production plan that automatically operates the factory 24 hours a day as needed.
Operation Mode
- FIX Mode
Nozzle is fixed at adjustable angles. - SWEEP Mode
Nozzle sweeps in a uniformed motion from a programmed range of motion. - KICK Mode
Nozzle "kicks" in a rapid acceleration from a programmed range of motion.
Using a dedicated controller, the operation mode, angle and speed can be programmed into Wavy Nozzle's memory. (Teaching Playback)
Operators can call up the desired mode.
Operators can apply suitable Wavy Nozzle modes to each cutting tool.
e.g.) MM01 (Memory No.01) : Mode SWEEP, Angle 05~10, Speed 50
MM02 (Memory No.02) : Mode KICK, Angle 06~10, Speed 10

FAQ
What are the key features and advantages of the Wavy Nozzle compared to conventional fixed air nozzles?
The main advantage is that the nozzle's oscillating motion allows it to discharge coolant or air directly to the optimal position for each tool and machining process, effectively removing chips.
With conventional fixed nozzles, manual adjustments by operators were required, making it difficult to achieve consistent setups. The Wavy Nozzle automatically sprays coolant or air to pre-set positions through its oscillating movement, efficiently clearing chips and significantly improving overall machining efficiency.
