High-rigidity roller bearings that can withstand high loads
in machine tools and meet precision requirements

Problems

Split-type cross roller bearings are used on the rotary tables of machine tools.

  • Difficulty in mounting bearings on machines.
  • Especially in the case of heavy objects, the large load during cutting causes deflection, which reduces machining accuracy.

Solution

Featuring Myonic axial / radial bearings, which offer easy mounting to machine tool ratary tables and high rigidity!

Benefits of hiring

  • Improved rigidity enables handling of heavy objects and workpiece tilt angles that were previously impossible.
  • It can maintain rigidity while also being able to handle high speeds.
  • The design minimizes rotational runout, enabling highly precise machining.
  • Because it is easy to install, preload adjustment is unnecessary, shortening the work process.

Type of roller bearings

MinebeaMitsumi roller bearings are broadly divided into three types.
The order of moment rigidity is cross bearings < double-row angular bearings < axial / radial bearings.

Cross Roller Bearing

Cross Roller Bearing

This bearing consists of cylindrical rollers arranged in a row at 90° angles to each other.

Double-row angular roller bearing

Double-row angular roller bearing

This bearing has two rows of cylindrical rollers arranged side by side.

Axial / radial bearings ( three roller bearings )

Axial / radial bearings ( three roller bearings )

This bearing consists of two rows of cylindrical rollers arranged in the axial direction and one row in the radial direction.

High rigidity achieved by combining two rows of axial rollers and one row of radial rollers

High rigidity achieved by combining two rows of axial rollers and one row of radial rollers

Roller bearings support loads through line contact, making them more resistant to heavy loads than ball bearings. By adopting a structure that combines two rows of axial rollers and one row of radial rollers, we have achieved a highly rigid bearing that can withstand loads from all directions, including vertical, horizontal, and inclined directions relative to the shaft.

myonic's axial and radial bearings are designed with a particular focus on improving moment (tilt) rigidity. This contributes to improved positioning accuracy and reduced rotational runout, contributing to stable operation. In addition, because their rigidity is higher than that of conventional bearings, it is possible to reduce the shaft diameter, thereby realizing space savings in machinery.

Not only is it rigid, but it can also handle high-speed rotation

For customers who want rigidity but cannot compromise on high-speed rotation, we also offer products that take rotational performance into consideration.
Optimized internal design allows for high-speed, continuous rotation with minimal temperature difference between the inner and outer rings.
*The allowable rotation speed is set based on in-house evaluation (with cooling). *Please consult us about cooling methods.

Runout accuracy of bearing alone (representative model)

Our axial/radial bearings are characterized by high rigidity and precision, making them ideal for applications requiring high-precision rotation, such as machine tool table axes and index heads.
The axial runout accuracy and radial runout accuracy of the bearing alone are as shown for the representative models below.

The "High Precision Guaranteed (PRR50,PRR30)" grade in the table above already offers high runout accuracy, but for customers who are looking for even higher accuracy, we will propose the optimal solution based on individual specifications and applications. Easy installation and preload management

Easy installation

Our axial and radial bearings are designed to ensure efficient and accurate installation at your site.

There is no need to use special mounting methods such as press fitting or shrink fitting, which are common with many conventional cross roller bearings.

This "preload management by screw fastening" structure is particularly beneficial when handling large bearings. Press-fitting or shrink-fitting large parts is highly challenging in terms of both equipment and work, but by using a screw fastening method, on-site installation becomes much easier and also reduces installation time.
