Analog semiconductors convert analog signals, such as light, sound, and temperature into digital signals.
MinebeaMitsumi has an integrated system that covers everything from development and design to manufacturing of analog semiconductors, which are increasingly in demand in a wide range of fields, including smartphones, IoT devices, home appliances and automobiles.
We are the industry leader in single-cell (1-cell) lithium-ion protection ICs, which protect smartphones from overcharging, overdischarging and overcurrent, and reset ICs, which monitor the supply voltage of electronic devices.
We have semiconductor development and design bases in Japan and our own factories at our overseas manufacturing bases, which enables us to achieve stable supply throughout the group. An analog semiconductor manufacturer with over 40 years of experience
After establishing the Atsugi Operation Base in 1979, we developed the bipolar process and then the CMOS process, and developed a wide range of products, including reset ICs and protection for lithium-ion secondary battery ICs. Today, we are expanding our product line and working on developing various sensors and power semiconductors using MEMS technology.

A range of compact, high-precision, high-speed, and high-voltage products used across various fields
Analog semiconductors have a wide range of applications. There are also a wide variety of analog semiconductor types, including protection for lithium-ion battery ICs, which are essential for smartphones; reset ICs, which safely start and stop the microcomputers built into electronic devices; and various types of sensor-related semiconductors, such as pressure sensors used in blood pressure monitors and 6-axis force torque sensors used in robots that reproduce the human sense of touch.
In addition, we operate a vertically integrated power semiconductor (power device) business, with integrated manufacturing capabilities from the front-end chip manufacturing process to the back-end packaging and module processes.
We also offer a silicon foundry business, where we take on partial manufacturing processes for semiconductors designed by our customers in our own factories.

*Bipolar process: A process of controlling alternating arrangements of N-type semiconductors, which conduct current through electrons as the main charge carrier, and P-type semiconductors, which conduct current through the movement of holes (the absence of electrons, creating a positive charge) as the main charge carrier. This enables high-speed operation and high-current driving.
CMOS process: A process that combines two types of metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs), N-type and P-type, and is characterized by extremely low power consumption.

We have semiconductor design and development bases in Japan and our own factories at our overseas manufacturing bases, which enables us to achieve stable supply. We can complete the entire semiconductor manufacturing process in-house, from front-end to back-end.

We have acquired ISO 9001 certification, a quality management system standard designed to improve the quality of products and services, and ISO 14001 certification, an international standard that requires minimizing the environmental impact of business activities.
We have also acquired IATF 16949 certification, an international standard for quality management systems specific to the automotive industry, and ISO/TS 22163, which certifies compliance with the highest standards in the railway industry.
