They feature three detection functions essential for AC power supplies: Overvoltage Protection (for PFC, etc.), Output Voltage Drop Detection, and AC Input Loss Detection.
This enables the protection circuit to be configured with fewer external components. Furthermore, integration into an IC allows for highly accurate detection. Low current consumption also contributes to reduced standby power.
